Serapis is a syncretic god introduced by Ptolemy I Soter, the founder of the Ptolemaic Dynasty in Egypt, in order to unite Egyptian gods with those of the Greeks. Serapis was the first in the holy trinity in Alexandria, was derived from the Egyptian god Osir – Apis and the greek god Zeus, together with Isis and her son Harpocrates.
