Tinnis

Tinnis is an important Egyptian city located on an island by the same name north of Lake Tanis (modern Manzala Lake). Tinnis is situated between the cities of Al Farama to the east and Damietta to the west. Tinnis played an important cultural role in the life of Egypt in the Islamic era. It was home to the shipping and textile industries and produced the cloth for the Qaba.
