“Afterlife” hall of the Antiquities Museum
The Museum of Antiquities and the Zahi Hawass Egyptology Center, affiliated to the Cultural Outreach Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, are organizing a conference entitled “Childhood in Ancient Egypt”, Wednesday, 13 September 2023, 1:00 pm, in the “Afterlife” hall of the Antiquities Museum. The lecture is moderated by Dr. Shauq Elneklawi, lecturer of children's literature at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Matrouh University.
The speaker addresses the children of Pharaonic Egypt who enjoyed a special status both within the family and in society, and who experienced many aspects of today's life in the most civilized countries.
