In continuation of the series of summer lectures organized by the Antiquities Museum for children and youth and presented by a group of the Museum’s antiquities specialists, Marwa Al Ghobashy will be giving a lecture entitled “Hellenistic Jewelry”, in which she talks about the ancient Egyptian’s interest in jewelry as ornaments and the phases of its development after Alexander the Great’s invasion of Egypt, which involved the incorporation of precious stones, developing jewelry manufacturing techniques, and adding new forms and elements that integrate the greatness of the East with the ingenuity of the West. The lecture will be held in the Afterlife hall inside the BA Antiquities Museum.
