The BA Antiquities Museum is organizing a lecture titled “Museums of Alexandria and Rashid: Between Reality and Aspirations”. The lecture is going to be held on Thursday, 2 February 2017 in the BA Third Floor Floating Room (F3) at 12:00 noon. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Nadia Khedr, Museum Superintendent of Alexandria and Rashid. The lecture will revolve around the role of museums as one of the most influential institutions in the dissemination of culture and archaeological awareness, thus majorly transforming the role of museums from merely being a storage space for antiquities into becoming an archaeological and cultural center spreading archaeological awareness among individuals from all walks of life. Dr. Nadia Khader will also specifically discuss the importance of the Alexandria and Rashid museums, their antiquities and activities, in addition to their current state and their future development plans.
