Our Archaeological Heritage: A Vision for the Future
13 March 2017
- 15 March 2017
The BA Antiquities Museum is renewing its cultural gatherings with Alexandrian antiquities scholars, amateurs and professionals through its annual cultural forum “Our Archaeological Heritage: A Vision for the Future”. The Forum aims at creating a new generation that is aware of its heritage and capable of utilizing modern technologies to solve problems and face challenges, which would help it cope with the fast-paced global technological developments.
On the occasion of celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Forum will take place during the period 13−15 March 2017. It includes a series of lectures and discussions that address two main themes. The first theme tackles the significant role of archaeological heritage to reflect the cultural identity of peoples in general, and boosting nationalism in particular. The second theme highlights the importance of preserving archaeological heritage and the ability to face current challenges.
