The BA Antiquities Museum organized a lecture titled “Socrates the Philosopher” as part of the “Draw and Discover” competition, which the museum holds as part of various Museum Education activities that aim to raise the archaeological and historical awareness of children and young people. The lecture was delivered by Rehab Ali, a specialist at the Antiquities Museum Website Unit.
It is noteworthy that the Antiquities Museum organizes its “Draw and Discover” competition annually. This year’s round revolves around the renowned Greek philosopher Socrates, whose bust is showcased at the museum. The competition aims to connect children and young people to ancient Egyptian civilization through drawing a portrait of and writing a brief research paper on a chosen figure.
