Young Champollion at BA Antiquities Museum
26 October 2017
The BA Antiquities Museum proudly hosts the 12 year old Egyptian prodigy Fares Yousri Elmamlouk, a student from Franciscan School in Sidi Bishr, Alexandria, and the son of an Alexandrian visual artist. Fares fluently reads the ancient Egyptian language and has extensive knowledge of the history and archaeology of ancient Egypt. He reminds us of the well-renowned Jean-François Champollion who deciphered the ancient Egyptian language as a young prodigy and thus established Egyptology in 1882.
The BA Antiquities Museum is going to sponsor this promising Egyptian talent; it will develop an educational program for him and contact concerned parties in order to provide him with the necessary facilities to reach his full potential and to benefit Egypt and its everlasting antiquities.
