The BA Antiquities Museum, in cooperation with the Jupiter Society of the Archaeology Department, Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, is organizing an exhibition titled “Artworks from the Graeco-Roman Heritage”. The event is set to take place from Tuesday to Thursday, 19–21 June 2018, in the BA Conference Center (BACC) East Exhibition Hall.
The exhibition includes a collection of artworks created by the third and fourth year students of the Department of Archaeology and Graeco-Roman Studies, under the supervision of Dr. Fathia Gaber Ibrahim, who worked with the students over the course of three years to complete said works. The collection’s artistic idea revolves around symbols that contributed to shaping Alexandria’s civilization. The exhibition presents a collection of mosaic artworks that depict such art from the Roman civilization, a collection of models of architectural and archeological buildings, a model of a merchant vessel, and a number of paintings.
