The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Antiquities Museum affiliated to the Cultural Outreach Sector, in collaboration with the Children's and Young Peoples' Libraries in Khadija Palace, organizes a lecture entitled “Secrets of Pharaonic Egypt” on Sunday, 26 January, 2020 at 10:00 am at Khadija Palace affiliated to the BA, Helwan, Cairo. The lecture is delivered by Dr. Al-Hussein Abdel-Bassir, Director of the BA Antiquities Museum and Supervisor of the BA Zahi Hawass Center of Egyptology.
The lecture discusses the Pharaonic history of Egypt that is filled with secrets due to its unrivaled possession of a large number of multifarious papyrus documents in different languages and writings such as: Hieroglyphic, Greek, Latin, Demotic, Hieratic, and Coptic. This grand wealth of papyrus documents has provided historians all around the world with unique information about the political events, administrative matters, economic issues, as well as the social aspects of that era.
