The Antiquities Museum and the Zahi Hawass Center of Egyptology; affiliated to the
Bibliotheca Alexandria Cultural Outreach Sector, organize an online lecture entitled "Islamic Monuments in Dakhla Oasis". The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Mahmed Saleh Ahmed, Supervisor of Antiquities, East of Dakhla, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The lecture will be broadcast on Sunday, 10 October 2021; 7:30 pm, through the Antiquities Museum’s Facebook page: Bibliotheca Alexandrina Antiquities Museum.
The lecture sheds light on the Dakhla Oasis, and its unique Islamic cities, the most important of which are the city of Al-Qasr, Balat, Al-Hindaw, and Al-Qalamoun. Participants will learn about the history of these cities, their most important buildings, and the general features of Islamic architecture in the Dakhla Oasis.
