The Antiquities Museum, in cooperation with the Zahi Hawass Center of Egyptology, affiliated to the Cultural Outreach Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), organizes a free interactive training course entitled “Egypt’s Military History throughout the Ages”, from 12 to 14 October 2021. Dr. Hussein Bassir, Dr. Galal Refai, and Dr. Karim Hamza will deliver three lectures over three days on the development of the Egyptian military and its pioneering role throughout successive civilizations, starting with the ancient Egyptian civilization to the Greco-Roman and Islamic eras. The course will conclude with a field trip to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina to learn about its various sections and its most important holdings, followed by a detailed tour inside the Antiquities Museum as a practical application of what the participants learned throughout the course.
