«Green Museums for Sustainable Development» Training Course, Bibliotheca Alexandrina

The Antiquities Museum and the Zahi Hawass Center of Egyptology affiliated to the Bibliotheca Alexandria Cultural Outreach Sector, in cooperation with the Museums Sector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, organize a training course entitled «Green Museums for Sustainable Development», on 8-9 December 2021; 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Main Entrance, Auditorium. This course includes a number of lectures tackling the concept of sustainable development and its goals, Egypt’s vision of 2030, digital transformation and sustainable development, sustainable waste and materials management in museums, green transformation of museum buildings, towards governance implementation in museums, green museums: concept and objectives, museum collection and activities management for sustainable development, and green economy of museums.
