"Reading in Egyptian Mummies and Coffins" Seminar

The Antiquities Museum and the Zahi Hawass Center of Egyptology affiliated to the Bibliotheca Alexandria Cultural Outreach Sector, in cooperation with Egypt Heritage Association, organize a seminar entitled“Reading in Mummies and Egyptian Coffins”. The seminar is held on Wednesday, 22 December 2021; 10:00 am, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Main Entrance, Auditorium.
The first lecture, given by Dr. Zeinab Hashesh; Lecturer of Egyptian Antiquities at Beni-Suef University, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Egypt Heritage Association, tackles Egyptian mummies and how to date them. The second lecture, given by Dr. Nihad Kamal El-Din; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Egypt Heritage Association, and the Head of the Egyptian Antiquities Department at Mansoura University, tackles Egyptian coffins, their types, development over ages, and historical implications.
