The Antiquities Museum and the Zahi Hawass Center of Egyptology; affiliated to the Bibliotheca Alexandria Cultural Outreach Sector, organize an online lecture entitled «The Real Dating of Egyptian History», by Dr. Khaled Saad Mostafa, general director of the Department of Prehistoric Antiquities, the Supreme Council of Antiquities. The lecture will be broadcasted on Monday, 17 January 2022; 7:30 pm, on the Antiquities Museum’s Facebook page: «Bibliotheca Alexandrina Antiquities Museum».
The lecture sheds light on the common mistake of reducing the Egyptian history to the phrase «a seven-thousand-year civilization», which includes the history of the Era of Antiquity estimated at 2000 years, the history of the Ancient Egyptian Era estimated at 3000 years, and the history of the Common Era estimated at 2021 years. However, the truth is that the Egyptian civilization predates all of these, according to recent discoveries in architecture, inscriptions, color drawings, chemistry, and astronomy.
