Closing Ceremony of the Antiquities Museum's Volunteer Training Program

The Antiquities Museum Tour Guides Unit, affiliated to the Cultural Outreach Sector, Bibliotheca Alexandrina celebrates the closure of the volunteer training program. On this occasion, the Antiquities Museum is honored to invite the volunteers and their families to attend the closing ceremony of the activity, on Monday, 11 December 2023, 11:00 am, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Main Entrance, Auditorium Hall. This ceremony, in its second edition, comes as a continuation of a tradition established by the museum administration since the launch of this celebration in its first edition, to highlight the efforts of volunteers and honor them.

The ceremony includes excerpts from the most important lectures, activities and presentations delivered by the museum throughout 2023, individually or in partnership with several parties, whether inside or outside the Library, led by the Children’s Library, the Young People’s Library, the Royal Jewelry Palace Museum, Millennium Educational Technologies, and the Blessed Egypt Foundation, to In addition to sponsoring many artistic talents from the gallery studio of the Faculty of Business, Alexandria University.

The ceremony begins with a speech by Dr. Al-Hussein Abdel Basir, Director of the BA Antiquities Museum, followed by a speech by Ms. Iman Badr, Head of the Tour Guides Unit and Training Officer. The ceremony includes a documentary film of the activities provided by the Tour Guides Unit through the volunteer training program throughout the year, followed by an artistic presentation consisting of a quick drawing of a selected group of influential historical figures. The ceremony's activities will continue with a competition using artificial intelligence technology, consisting of riddles about the remaining cultural heritage of the ancient civilizations that Egypt passed through. Questions will be posed by an Egyptian figure from the ancient state, famous for being the first traveler who visited several countries and was influenced by the diversity of civilizations and cultures. The ceremony concludes with paying tribute to the volunteers and distributing certificates of appreciation.
